This is a pre-owned 816ce built in 2014, part of a limited run by Taylor featuring a classy looking florentine cutaway, giving this Grand Symphony an appearance not unlike a '50s archtop guitar. The guitar has some pickwear on the top along with some light scratches, no cracks or any marks which would affect the playability.
With its big, Grand Symphony body and the timeless combination of a spruce top and rosewood body, the 816ce produces a warm, very sweet tone rich with bell-like detail. It's gorgeous fingerpicked and well balanced when strummed. It's the kind of guitar that you can hear from a considerable distance away. If you're a fan of deep, full-bodied tone, the 816ce is a great choice. Taylor's Expression System 2 pickup system wonderfully reproduces the instrument's natural tones.
