A Taylor you can bring to the race track! This is a Custom Shop Grand Auditorium dubbed the Hot Rod 3.0 which was unveiled during the Catch Event at the 2025 NAMM show. Originally conceived as a custom shop order for a long-time Taylor player, the Hot Rod Guitar (HR-LTD) debuted as a NAMM Special Edition model in 2003 with curly maple back and sides and a Sitka spruce top. Featuring red and yellow inlaid wooden flames reaching down the fretboard toward the Florentine cutaway and encircling the soundhole in a ring of fire, the limited-edition guitar came in two versions: a black Jumbo and a Grand Auditorium with red back and sides and a natural top. This updated custom build presents the same inlay scheme and visual aesthetic as the original black model, but with a cutaway Grand Auditorium body and figured Big Leaf maple. Updates include satinwood yellow flame inlays and the bloodwood for the red purfling. Make this spruced up GA yours today!
