This 1949 Gibson ES-175N is a real treat! This maple bodied blonde beauty is nicely aged and is an equally great piece for the player or collector! The sides boast some stunning birdseye figuring! It comes with a written Gruhn appraisal from 2009. The single original dogear P-90 just oozes lovely jazz and blues tones and still sounds great with a bit of dirt too! The no number speed knobs are a nice touch as well. Other features include the nickel trapeze tailpiece with floating rosewood bridge, mahogany neck, and a rosewood fingerboard with split pearl parallelogram inlays.
The guitar is in very good condition for it's age - it does have a new pickguard and newer tuners (both worked on by Gruhn, and originals of both included), but no cracks or repairs or any issues! Just some light checking and a few small dings consistent with age. It also has been refretted. It includes the original beat-up case and a newer, more protective case.
Includes: Original Hardshell Case, Appraisal Letter, Original Pickguard, Original Tuners
