The Story

Used 1962 ES-330 TD Hollowbody Electric Guitar Cherry

This vintage ES-330 combines hollowbody airyness with P-90 bark and bite for one amazing axe! Unlike its big brother the ES-335, the 330 is fully hollow, providing that gorgeous, airy tone that is simply unattainable anywhere else, and strumming it unplugged yields a bright, resonant tone that's perfect for playing on the couch.

Over 40 years of real-life aging have given this instrument an amazing vintage patina, from the gorgeous Cream binding to the well-loved Nickel hardware, including an aftermarket Bigsby vibrato. The Cherry finish looks stunning over the laminated Maple body and Mahogany neck, perfectly contrasting with the Black plastic parts. The dual P-90s are wired to traditional Gibson controls with chrome-insert Top Hat knobs for classic looks and sounds.

This instrument is in overall very good vintage condition, with some non-original parts and changes. The original trapeze tailpiece was replaced with a Bigsby B30 vibrato, leaving some screw holes in the base of the guitar. The original tuners were replaced with a set of small-button Kluson tuners as shown in the photographs, and the neck was professionally refretted with jumbo frets for easy playability. There is some damage in the finish on the top of the guitar where a wooden archtop-style bridge may have been installed.

The sound and feel of this instrument are truly top-notch, making this perfect for players and collectors alike. It's sure to sell fast, so call us today!
