Just check out the vibe coming from this vintage '66 Fender Jazz Bass. As much as we love the American Vintage Series and Custom Shop pieces, the real deal still hits the spot for us. This bass came from a single owner, who had it refinished over the years in Pearl White. The original neck plate with the serial number has been lost to time, but the neck date reads 7JAN66A. A quirk about this bass is that the person who refinished it decided to strip the headstock of its logo and finish (the top of the headstock is bare wood), for reasons unknown. This is an early build for '66 due to the bound neck and dot combination, not long after this the inlays were transitions to blocks, and the pots date on this bass to '66 as well! The bass has markings and dings scattered around the body, but as you would imagine - plays and sounds wonderful.
