This bass stopped a whole bunch of Zoo staff in their tracks when it came in. Here’s a vintage 1966 Precision Bass in a Lake Placid Blue finish. The finish on the bass has a strong Lake Placid Blue underneath the top coat, but the top has been turned to a color more like Sherwood Green (also one of our favorite finishes.) The bass is 100% all original with clean original frets, original electronics, a transitional Fender logo, and a beautiful rosewood fretboard with nice dark color to it, and pearl dot inlays. The neck dates to March 1966. The thumb rest has been moved at one point but returned to the original placement. The bass overall is in very good condition with normal players wear for an instrument of its age, and we’re loving the patina and wear patterns on the finish.
The original case is in fair condition with the interior fabric peeling up, however it still protects the bass full, and includes both bridge and pickup covers.
