Here’s a vintage instrument that’s just as wacky as it is inspiring! A vintage 1968 Coral Electric Sitar, in a red crackle finish. Just as everyone in the ‘60s was searching for new sounds to create, Danelectro developed the electric sitar to mimic all of the eastern sounds musicians were hearing on popular records.
This Coral sitar has a buzz bridge to give the strings a buzzing tone, and sympathetic drone strings on the side to add in more overtones. The cool thing is that each pickup, including the one under the drone strings have their own volume and tone controls. The sitar is in very good shape, with some chips on the horn and scratches on the side of the body – no major dings or dents that would hinder playability on this unique piece.
Includes: Original Hardshell Case
