A classic instrument from the early days of the Fender Custom Shop, this 35th Anniversary Stratocaster was constructed by Custom Shop Master Builder Greg Fessler. A gorgeous Flame Maple top is finished in a classic Three-Tone Sunburst and mated to an Alder body. The highly figured Birdseye Maple neck is topped with a deep Ebony fingerboard inlaid with Abalone dots. Not just a looker, this Strat is a real firebreather as well! Three Silver Lace Sensors are wired to a five-way switch, then to a active pre-amp with a powerful midrange boost. This same circuit was featured on the early Eric Clapton signature models. The two-point tremolo and locking tuners ensure you'll always be in tune. This instrument is in overall excellent condition. The instruments serial number and specifications point to a 1989 build date. However, the included Certificate of Authenticity is dated 1991 and was possibly reissued by the Fender Custom Shop.
