Used 2001 EC Cut Explorer Electric Guitar Natural Item Description
This is an Explorer that you won't find every day! A pre-owned Custom Shop Explorer with an EC Cut and a natural finish to the mahogany body, part of a very small run made for the Japanese market in 2001. The EC Cut Explorer has a shorter bass bout than the usual Explorer, giving the guitar a bit of a lighter weight and a unique look – a nod to a specific Explorer that Eric Clapton has been seen playing throughout his career. The guitar has a chunky neck profile along with two Burstbucker humbuckers, an ABR-1 bridge with stopbar tailpiece, and gold hardware. There are a few markings around the body of the guitar and some very light fretwear, none of which gives way to any dead notes or rough spots. Overall an excellent playing guitar that’s a great piece for any Explorer or Clapton enthusiast.
