The Story

Used 2004 Custom Shop L-5 CT Electric Guitar Faded Cherry

This beautiful archtop is a pre-owned Gibson Custom Shop L-5 CT in a Faded Cherry finish, made in 2004. The L-5 C was originally created in the 1950's as an instrument for comedian George Gobel, a smaller sized man who wanted the looks and class of the L-5 without the big body that would have been uncomfortable to play. Gibson designed the L-5 CT for Gobel, and the rest is history. This L-5 CT was built by James W. Hutchins, a highly respected Gibson luthier, who worked at Gibson for 45 years and sadly passed away in 2010.

You can't beat the bookmatching of the flame maple on the back of this L-5, and we're loving the complimentary black stinger headstock with the red finish on the neck. This L-5 CT is in excellent condition, and includes the original case and paperwork.

Includes: Includes: Hardshell Case, Certificate of Authenticity, Hang Tag and Paperwork
