This pre-owned Gibson Custom '59 Les Paul Custom Authentic is a faithful replication of Jimmy Page's "Les Paul #1" guitar, which he acquired from Joe Walsh in the early '70s. It's the guitar that marked Jimmy's transition from the Yardbirds-era Tele to the Les Pauls he was associated with in Zep. While it is a '59 Burst at heart, Page's modification, captured here, include a neck that tapers to a slim depth in the middle (apparently, that was how the guitar was when Page got it). Another unique Page-ism is a push/pull pot in the bridge pickup's volume control that reverses pickup phase for a tone similar to Peter Green or B.B. Kings'. Page has also replaced the original tuners with sealed, gold-plated Grover Rotomatics. Other features are Burstbucker pickups, an exposed black-coil bridge pickup similar to Page's, and "broken-in" Page Burst finish. This Page '59 is in excellent condition and includes the original case along with certificate of authenticity.
Includes: Original Hardshell Case and Certificate of Authenticity
