Released in very limited numbers (only 300 made) in 2007, this is a pre-owned Gibson Custom Shop John Lennon Les Paul Junior in a cherry finish. The guitar is modeled after the famed Les Paul Junior that Lennon had modified by New York luthier Ron DeMarino to have a humbucker in the neck along with a tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece. DeMarino instead gave the guitar a Charlie Christian pickup, giving Lennon a powerful and clear rhythm sound that he was looking for. This guitar is an excellent piece for any Lennon or Beatles enthusiast, and a ton of fun to play. It includes the certificate of authenticity, t-shirt, portrait of Lennon, a Gibson cable, and ships in the original shipping box from Gibson.
