First introduced to the world in 1949 with a single P-90 configuration, the guitar continuously progressed over the years until it finally hit a high-point both in tone and looks, when in 1959 the guitar featured humbucking pickups along with the looks of the "zig-zag" tailpiece. Gibson has taken their replica of the '59 ES-175 to the next level with this ES-175 Figured model. The guitar has a VOS finish to give it a slightly aged patina, with aged split parallelogram inlays to match. The top layer of the Maple and Poplar laminate is a highly figured piece of Maple for a distinctive, yet classic look. This is a fantastic instrument that will be be a welcome addition to any Jazzbox aficionados collection.
