The Story

Used 2013 D-18 Mahogany Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar Natural

Martin first introduced their Dreadnought models in 1931 after a custom order from the Oliver Ditson company. This pre-owned made in 2013 D-18 is a classic variation of this classic design. Featuring a Sitka Spruce top, the 18 series are distinguished by their Mahogany backs giving the guitars a warm, focused tone. The combination of the Mahogany back with the large body makes this guitar perfect for players looking to combine both strumming and flat-picking sounds in one guitar. The Mahogany neck is topped with a 20 fret Ebony fingerboard that's inlaid with understated Pearl dots. Scalloped "X" bracing allows for a great blooming projection when you dig in, and the 18 style appointments (such as the Tortoise binding and simple rosette) give the guitar a gorgeous look. This D-18 is in overall excellent condition and includes the original hardshell case.
