Here is a pre-owned Collections Choice #12 Les Paul built in 2014, based on an original vintage '57 Goldtop owned by Gibson CEO Henry Juszkiewicz. The Collector's Choice guitars are the next best thing to owning and playing those rare vintage models that rarely come on the market.
Collector's Choice #12 features a beefy neck profile typical of late '50s Les Pauls. It's hand-aged, and the gold finish captures the period-correct greenish patina of '50s Goldtops. Meanwhile, the guitar also bears the dark spots in its lacquer checks that are natural to the aging process.
CC #12 has a sweet and mellow yet thick tone that's largely the result of its original PAF pickups. These pickups were slightly underwound than average, and therefore possess their own unique character. These guitars were part of a limited run of 300 guitars or under, and its still in overall excellent condition with all wear original to how the Custom Shop intended the guitar to look.
