Used 2014 Japan Exclusive '57 Les Paul Custom Electric Guitar Ebony w/ Historic Makeover Package Item Description
This guitar legitimately fooled a couple of us at the shop into thinking it was a '50s piece. Here we have a pre-owned Custom Shop '57 Les Paul that was made in 2014 for the Japanese market, and reworked by the folks at Historic Makeovers (with their Standard Package) for a distressed finish and vintage carve top that could make the best of us do a double take. This '57 Custom has a hide-glue neck joint, unsheathed vintage-style truss rod, an Ebony fretboard, a Nitrocellulose Ebony finish by Historic Makeovers, two Gibson Custom Bucker humbuckers, and waffle-back tuners to complete the vibe. The guitar has also had the True LP Control Kit installed by Historic Makeovers, which includes custom CTS 500K pots and bumblebee capacitors for a thorough vintage feel - even in the electronics.
This is an excellent '57 Custom, the neck profile that was also reworked by Historic Makeovers fits right into the palm of your hand, and the guitar is super resonant even before you plug it in. All wear and tear is original to the guitar, and it includes both a Gibson hardshell case as well as a Custom Shop leather gigbag.
