Here's an excellent boutique amplifier at an affordable price - a pre-owned Louis Electric Tornado with a 1x12" speaker and 28 watts of power provided by two EL34 power tubes. The 34s give that cranked '60s stack tone without blowing out your eardrums (or back). With just a simple bright volume, normal volume, and master tone controls with three inputs (two on Normal and one on bright) along with a cathode bypass switch - the Tornado is designed to just plug in and play like the good old days.
