Here we have a pre-owned Gretsch Custom Shop Duo Jet GT, crafted by Gretsch masterbuilder Stephen Stern in 2015. The Duo Jet GT was a collaboration between the Zoo and Gretsch, and we were very thrilled with how this one came out - especially with the relic Sonic Blue finish. This GT is in excellent shape and looks to have seen very little play time. It includes the original case along with certificate and case candy.
The intersection of classic style and modern features starts with the Duo Jet's traditional Chambered Mahogany body mated with an AAA-grade Flame Maple top. The Duo Jet GT replaces Gretsch's traditional wood-based bridge with a rock solid direct-mount ABR1 bridge and stopbar tailpiece. No more worrying about a wooden base with the potential to move, or an uncomfortable Melita bridge with intricate parts. Dual Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates open-coil humbuckers provide tons of rock firepower, letting you go from that great Gretsch sound we all know and love to a full-scream humbucker tone with ease. And the Pearly Gates humbuckers are wound in classic Filter'Tron-style covers, making this GT a real sleeper! Modern Medium Jumbo fretwire and other modern appointments make this Duo Jet GT the perfect intersection of vintage inspiration and modern innovation.
