Used Builder Select Greg Fessler 1969 Stratocaster Electric Guitar Firemist Gold Item Description
Part of the 2016 Builder Select Series, where each Fender Masterbuilder design an instrument that is supposed to represent them and their specific style of lutherie – this is the Greg Fessler 1969 Stratocaster in a Journeyman Relic Firemist Gold finish and a complementing 3-ply parchment pickguard. The ’69 Strat has a quartersawn maple neck with round-laminated rosewood fretboard, modern 9.5” fretboard radius with 21 narrow jumbo frets, and a trio of Custom Shop pickups - three hand-wound single-coil pickups carefully selected by Fessler for their classic, highly dynamic and reactive tone when used together. Also, the guitar has a special wiring which has a treble bleed circuit to maintain clarity when cleaning up via the volume knob, and a tone knob to control the bridge pickup with the second tone controlling the neck and middle pickups.
