One of the first Les Pauls to re-emerge in 1968, this Custom features all of the appointments that helped make the Custom a classic, alongside some '68 specific changes, such as the faded Gold hardware and Witch Hat control knobs. The double carved Maple top and Mahogany back provide a tone and sustain that has to be heard to be believed. The Mahogany neck is topped with a classic Ebony fingerboard that features hand-rolled binding to get this guitar as close to original specifications as possible. All the small details from the Witch Hat control knobs, to the authentically shaded plastics, to the classic Les Paul peghead veneer have been carefully recreated. The thin Ebony nitrocellulose lacquer finish features Gibson's VOS package for a fresh, yet vintage look and feel.
