If you don't know the name Waddy Wachtel, you probably have seen him; he's the guy with long wavy hair and the round John Lennon glasses wearing a big grin. He's played, written, and recorded with such names as Keith Richards, Jackson Browne, Stevie Nicks, Warren Zevon, all the while relying on a 1960 Les Paul that he acquired in 1968 from Stephen Stills.
Waddy cites that guitar as having a neck that fits right in his hand, as well as a bright and clear tone that is unlike any other vintage Les Paul he's played. Standout features are a Bigsby tailpiece, a soft lemonburst finish, and a thin '60s neck profile.
