Lee Ritenour is one of few guitarists, whose behind-the-scenes contributions have massively influenced the musical landscape, touching a breathtaking array of genres. The list of artists Ritenour has played with is impressive to say the least, helping shape classic albums from artists in jazz, rhythm and blues, easy listening, and rock. Playing on Pink Floyd’s The Wall, Ritenour contributed rhythm guitar on “What Do You Want,” and played acoustic guitar on what many consider to be the band’s most famous song, “Comfortably Numb.”
Throughout his illustriuous career, Ritenour has stayed true to his choice of Gibson archtops, and to honor his legacy, Gibson has released the Lee Ritenour L-5. This signature model features scaled down dimensions, 15½ (W) X 19¾ (L) X 2⅝ (D), which are to Ritenour’s liking, while retaining much of what makes this guitar such a classic. A high-grade and hand-carved spruce top with high-grade and hand-carved figured maple back and sides produce a warm presence, and the “fingers”-style tailpiece and endpin jack, ebony fretboard and bridge base, and gold hardware emanate taste and class. This pre-owned Gibson Custom Shop Lee Ritenour L5 is in overall excellent condition, and we're letting it go at an amazing price! Give us a call today!
