This Venetian cutaway archtop represents Gibson's steps towards simplicity and sustainability. Using a new construction technique, Gibson has cut the amount of wood needed for the Spruce top by one-third, and the amount of wood needed for the Mahogany neck by one-half. The Spruce top and Maple back are formed from bookmatched pieces of wood formed through Gibson's Solid Form technique.
