Since the mid-70’s, Gary Moore had set stages ablaze with Thin Lizzy, Skid Row and his own solo work right up until his death in 2011. Known for his scorching licks and high octane blues rock, his signature tone has been coveted for decades. His main axe: the legendary ’59 Les Paul Burst, originally owned by Fleetwood Mac’s Peter green. Based on the famed “Peter Green Les Paul,” this used guitar offers unique features like a highly flamed maple top with a Lemonburst finish, the traditional Les Paul Model headstock with signature truss-rod cover, and the signature mismatched amber and gold top-hat knobs. Dual Burstbucker Pro pickups deliver PAF-style response with a few extra winds for in your face, modern gain capabilities. Orange Drop tone caps take the tone step further, for ultra-accurate Gary Moore sound. The beautifully figured top is flaunted without binding or a pickguard to get in the way. The quartersawn mahogany neck is a rounded 50’s profile with an unbound Granadillo fingerboard with 22 medium-jumbo frets and traditional acrylic trapezoid inlays. The guitar is in excellent condition with little to no wear on it and the original hard case included.
