This is a rare one up for sale from the Gibson Custom Shop, a prototype guitar dubbed the Micro Kessel built in 2012 for a run that never came to fruition, of a guitar that was a smaller sized and chambered solidbody shape of a classic Barney Kessel model. This guitar is Prototype #3 and signed by former Gibson engineer Mike McGuire on the back of the headstock. The Micro Kessel has a figured maple top on a chambered mahogany body, zebra bobbin Burstbucker pickups, and trapezoid inlays with classy cream binding. Itβs in overall excellent condition and includes the original case and Gibson certificate.
