Kramer’s Assault model is a spin of the very familiar two-pickup, 24 ¾” scale neck, mahogany/maple body, single cutaway guitar, although aesthetically it’s a bona-fide hard rock, shred machine. Kramer even describes it as “An Uncompromising rock machine locked and loaded.” This guitar, in natural finish with a quilted maple top and mahogany body, uses a Tune-O-Matic/string-through-body design (a Floyd Rose bridge/locking nut is available on other Assault 220 Plus models). Features include Seymour Duncan Alternative 8 (bridge) and 59 (neck) pickups that are coil-tappable; and a glued-in, 24-fret, 25 ½”-scale mahogany neck with a maple fretboard and a slim-taper profile.
