When your professional career in Rock and Roll spans over forty years, you can imagine that one might accumulate a lot of guitars. When it comes to music legend Steve Miller, we mean a lot of guitars. From instruments that Steve had bought on the road, to those that were gifted from other Rock stars, to guitars that were made for charity or other special commemorations – Steve Miller and The Music Zoo are proud to present to you the Steve Miller Collection.
We’ve teamed up with Steve to “thin the herd” as we like to say, and give you the opportunity to own some very special guitars that have lots of vibe and history to them. Steve is a player as much as he is a collector, and you can be sure that these guitars are the cream of the crop when it comes to their playability. Some of these guitars have been touring guitars played by Steve, or made for him by specific builders to his specifications. Everyone one of these guitars includes a certificate of authenticity signed by Steve Miller, and attached is a picture of Steve playing that very guitar at his home studio before they arrived at The Music Zoo.
This great looking piece is a vintage Les Paul Recording guitar with a white finish that has aged and yellowed nicely over the years. The Les Paul Recording was one of Les' favored models to play, and features include dual stacked-humbuckers that are low-impedance models, meant to connect directly to a mixing console for amazing studio quality sound. A three-position pickup selector, phase switch, and tone toggle let you dial in everything from warm jazz tones to biting treble leads with ease. Individual Volume and Tone controls let you dial in your sound even further, and the Hi/Lo output switch selects the impedance for easy integration with recording consoles, traditional amplifiers, and just about any other source. This Les Paul Recording is in excellent condition with light play wear on it, and includes a non-original hardshell case.
