The Story

Used Steve Miller Collection J12SO! Sing Out 60th Anniversary Pete Seeger Acoustic Baritone Guitar Natural

When your professional career in Rock and Roll spans over forty years, you can imagine that one might accumulate a lot of guitars. When it comes to music legend Steve Miller, we mean a lot of guitars. From instruments that Steve had bought on the road, to those that were gifted from other Rock stars, to guitars that were made for charity or other special commemorations – Steve Miller and The Music Zoo are proud to present to you the Steve Miller Collection.

We’ve teamed up with Steve to “thin the herd” as we like to say, and give you the opportunity to own some very special guitars that have lots of vibe and history to them. Steve is a player as much as he is a collector, and you can be sure that these guitars are the cream of the crop when it comes to their playability. Some of these guitars have been touring guitars played by Steve, or made for him by specific builders to his specifications. Everyone one of these guitars includes a certificate of authenticity signed by Steve Miller, and attached is a picture of Steve playing that very guitar at his home studio before they arrived at The Music Zoo.

Definitely a unique part of Steves guitar collection, this is a 2011 Martin Sing Out 60th Pete Seeger model in its 12-string incarnation. Not only is this a 12-string jumbo guitar, it’s a baritone 12-string jumbo guitar - this instrument means business. With its triangular soundhole and pickguard, it’s modeled after the instruments that Liverpool luthier G. Stanley Francis made for Seeger during a concert in England in 1959. The guitar has an inlay-free fretboard, with a banjo sketch created by Pete Seeger inlaid in mother of pearl between the tuners on the back of the headstock, and a facsimile of Pete Seeger’s signature, also inlaid in mother of pearl, above the nut.

Includes: Original Hardshell Case, Steve Miller Collection Certificate of Authenticity
