This pre-owned Taylor 812e 12 Fret is in overall excellent condition. Like the other guitars in Taylor's 800 series, this 12-fret (20 frets, total) Grand Concert model is built with a Sitka spruce top and Indian rosewood for its back and sides, along with design aesthetics consistent to the 800s. The difference is the 12-fret's bracing and positioning of the bridge. The different neck/body joint requires the bridge to be closer to the instrument's lower bout. By articulating a different place on the top, the tone is somewhat darker--not as bright yet with well pronounced high end and dynamic range. It sustains forever with absolute musicality, and a real "singing" quality when fingerpicked. Includes original hardshell case.
