First Look: The Ritchie Blackmore Tribute Stratocaster
Posted on by jusatch
NAMM 2013 This wasn’t just any old relic’d black Stratocaster at the Fender Custom Shop booth, this was the new and limited for 2013 Ritchie Blackmore Strat.
This is the guitar that pays tribute to the man that wrote one of the quintessential Rock riffs, the simple yet melodic primer that all blooming guitarists like to pick up in their early days. The Blackmore Strat is a reproduction of the 1968 Stratocaster that Blackmore wrote Smoke On The Water with, and it’s build of a hand selected alder body with a urethane finish, custom “U” shaped maple neck with a 7.25″ radius, 21 medium jumbo frets, custom ’68 Strat pickups handwound by Abby Ybarra, 3-way pickup switch, and a vintage bridge with a special 1/4″ tremolo arm just like Blackmore’s.
Contact sales at the Music Zoo if you would like to inquire about adding this killer tribute Stratocaster to your collection.
