As 2019 winds down, The Music Zoo is looking back at our Top 10 list of the gear that just wouldn't stay in stock! 1. Korg Pitchclip 2 Pokemon Limited Edition Pikachu Tuner
The Korg collaboration with Pokemon on a set of PitchClip2 and Metronomes with the famous Pokemon characters such as Pikachu, Charmander, Bulbasaur and Squirtle set the Guitar and Video Game communities on fire! These have been stocking stuffers and future collectibles ever since being announced in the Fall of 2019.
2. Martin DX Johnny Cash Acoustic-Electric Guitar
A fitting tribute to The Man In Black! The Martin DX Johnny Cash signature acoustic-electric guitar has been flying out of The Music Zoo's doors. Fans around the world have been very excited for this affordable Martin with its HPL construction, CASH inlays and included gigbag embroidered with the CASH logo.
3. Ibanez WH10V3 Wah Pedal
The Ibanez WH10 was originally made famous by John Frusciante of The Red Hot Chili Peppers, whose use of the 1980s cult classic made it a must-have for fans who wanted to attain his tone. Ibanez has reissued it in a Version 3 model for 2019 with features that include a True/Buffered Bypass toggle switch and a heavy-duty metal enclosure.
4. Fender MIJ Mahogany Offset Telecaster Natural
A winner from Fender - this is a limited edition Mahogany Offset Telecaster. Originally a run from a few years ago - the popular model is back in business! Players who want offset looks with a fat-sounding P-90 neck pickup and twanging bridge tones need to look no further than this guitar!
5. Fender Tone Master Deluxe Reverb Combo Amp
Fender really knocked it out of the park with the new Tone Master series of amps! This Deluxe Reverb takes faithful modeling of the original tube tones of a Deluxe Reverb and turns it into a lightweight and powerful solid state amp! With Neodymium speakers and a pine cabinet, players have been switching over to Tone Master amps for amazing Fender clean tones in a package that's easy enough to carry with one hand over your head! Seriously - these amps are lightweight!
6. Fender American Ultra Stratocaster HSS
The Fender American Ultra series had us very excited when it was announced: new generation Noiseless pickups with S-1 coil tapping, compound fretboard radius boards and a contoured neck heel - the guitars are very comfortable to play and sound fantastic.
7. Taylor 317e Grand Pacific Acoustic-Electric
The Grand Pacific body style was introduced by Taylor at the 2019 NAMM show and was the brain child of their head designer Andy Powers. Built around the foundation of the V Class bracing pattern, also developed by Mr. Powers, it is one of the larger sizes in the Taylor line. Acoustic guitarists have been enjoying the various models of Grand Pacific throughout the year thanks to their comfortable body style and clear, vibrant tones.
8. PRS Signature Instrument Cables
Cables...whatever right? They work if they work! Nope! You need a quality cable to carry your signal through to its fullest possible frequency range! PRS Signature Series cables have been a great addition the cable market, with a tight construction hand-made in England by VanDamme Cabling - these low-noise cables are the bees knees.
9. Kramer Nightswan Black with Blue Polka Dots
Originally released in the 1980's, the Kramer Nightswan was an instant Shredder classic. The Nightswan was a signature instrument for Vivian Campbell - the current guitar player of Def Leppard who also spent time with Ronnie James Dio, Whitesnake, and other huge bands of the era. For 2019, the Nightswan was back and better than ever, and have been flying out the doors since being announced.
10. Yamaha THR10-II Wireless Amplifier
The Yamaha THR10-II Wireless amplifier took the already super reliable and quality sounding THR amplifier and added wireless capability to it via an onboard Line 6 wireless receiver, all you need is your guitar and a Line 6 Relay G10T transmitter (sold separately) and you're ready to jam from across the room! There are 15 guitar amp models, 3 bass amp models, 3 mic models for acoustic-electrics, and flat voicings for everything else. A great tool for practicing at home as well as playing guitar on the go!
