Gibson Custom Shop “Beano” 1960 Graphic Les Paul
Posted on by ZooKeeper
Most Clapton fans know about his famous 1960 Sunburst Les Paul that he played on John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers’ Blues Breakers with Eric Clapton album of 1966 – nicknamed the “Beano” guitar and album because of the comic book Eric was pictured reading on the album cover. The folklore around that album has become part of music history and to pay tribute to that Gibson’s Custom Shop has created this 1960 Les Paul. The exact Beano comic from May 7, 1966 Eric was reading on the album cover is printed across the top. We hear (and hope) that this will reach production in a limited run in 2011.
