Guitar Showcase – 1970’s Ernie Ball Earthwood Prototype Acoustic Guitar
Posted on by Walter Bryant
The collective response to opening the case of this vintage acoustic was pretty much “yup…never seen that before!” This is an Ernie Ball Earthwood acoustic guitar that is stamped PROTOTYPE on the inside of the soundhole. The guitar has a spruce top with mahogany back and sides, and a bolt-on (seriously!) maple neck with a maple fretboard. The guitar is in good playing condition with some wear to the body, no major dings, or any outstanding cracks. It includes a hardshell case and vintage DeArmond 210 acoustic pickup.
