EMG 45JX-CS
The 45JX-CS has increased headroom that gives the voicing a more open tone while still retaining the clarity and response that EMG’s are renowned for. Featuring ceramic steel magnets and powered by a newly designed preamp, the 45JX-CS pickup has characteristic jazz bass tone, but due to the custom radiused ceramic steel bar magnet, and the very low ratio of resistance to inductance, the tone is much warmer as a result of the higher inductance of the steel, and thus has a smoother attack and a flatter high end. This is all housed within a 45 extended series cover cap that is 4.5 inches (115mm) and is intended for 6-string models that have a maximum string spacing of 3.75 inches.
So whether you play fretted or fretless bass, are playing live or in the studio, with the 45JX-CS backing you up, you’ll get an incredible full sound to get the job done. Give it a try and experience why the “X” factor is exciting players all around the world.
