NAMM2017 Known worldwide for thier custom bass guitars, Fodera has now introduced two new electric guitars to their lineup; the Emperor and Imperial! Scroll down to watch the demo videos and learn more!

Emperor Guitar

The Emperor Guitar, Fodera’s double cutaway, bolt-on offering, combines the classic sparkle and chime of ‘60’s and ‘70’s blues and surf sounds with added tonal flexibility for today’s player. Available with a premium, hand-selected Alder body and Indian Rosewood fingerboard paired with a 3-piece Hard Rock Maple neck and angled back headstock, the Emperor guitar offers a rich, balanced, and even tone.

Unique to the Emperor Guitar is a pickup configuration that allows for a wider variety of tonal options compared to traditional single-coil-style instruments. In addition to the traditional five-way pickup selector, a bridge pickup switch has been provided to allow the bridge pickup to be engaged with any pickup selector position.

The Emperor Guitar comes with a custom set of Seymour Duncan Single-Coil pickups providing the authentic chime, sparkle, and feel that only vintage single coil pickups deliver. The Emperor Guitar is available in 6 classic, high-gloss finishes including Fiesta Red, Candy Apple Red, Vintage Sunburst, Black, Olympic White, Charcoal Frost Metallic and Butterscotch Blonde, and Pelham Blue as well as a choice of Black, White, or Tortoise Shell pickguards with classic chrome hardware.

Imperial Guitar

The Imperial Guitar, our single cut offering, combines the classic thick rich tone of guitars from the 50’s updated with modern aesthetic, playability, and construction techniques. The Imperial Guitar features a customer choice of a one-piece, semi-hollow Mahogany, Walnut, or Korina body, as well as a customer choice of a 3-piece Mahogany, Korina, Maple, or Walnut neck, with an Ebony or Rosewood fingerboard. Using only premium hand-selected tone-woods, these guitars provide a rich and resonant tone that is somewhat traditional but with added clarity thanks to the untraditional 3-piece neck and Dovetail neck joint.

The Imperial Guitar also incorporates a unique stop-tailpiece where a solid brass bar has been inlayed into a fingerboard-matching wooden shell providing added mass and sustain. The Imperial Guitar comes with a set of Seymour Duncan Custom Humbuckers providing a full, even, and rich sound with smooth highs, thick lows, and growling midrange. The Imperial Guitar is available in a high-gloss finish body, satin finished neck, and customer choice of chrome, black, or gold hardware.
