New At The Zoo! Martin Custom Shop 00-14 From NAMM 2016
Posted on by Walter Bryant
A beautiful creation from the Martin Custom Shop to create not only a visually appealing instrument for the NAMM 2016 show, but a sonically inspiring one as well! Here is a 00-14 built with great pieces of quilted mahogany for the body, with a genuine mahogany neck and a birdseye maple fretboard and matching bridge – something you don’t generally see on a Martin. The maple board is bound with mahogany, and the mahogany body is bound in maple with a maple cap on the headstock. The guitar has a nice midrange from the mahogany, but we also like that the maple gives a bit more snap and crispness that you usually lose out of an all mahogany guitar. Scroll below for hi-resolution photos of this one-of-a-kind instrument!
