The onboard effects of the Yamaha TransAcoustic get refreshed for 2026 with the TAS3 Concert model, including the delay, chorus and loop functions of the successful TAG3!
Introducing the TAS3 available now at The Music Zoo in two finish options; Natural and Sand Burst. The TAS3 has delay, reverb and chorus effects which are produced solely through the guitars soundhole itself through two actuators within the body, and NOW...the TransAcoustic has an onboard looper so you can write and accompany yourself with no pedals or extra accessories needed. What's more is that Yamaha has developed a very easy-to-use app for iPhone or Androids which allows you to expand on control of the effects as well as store loops to easily recall at a later date.
This model expands from the TAG3 in a new Concert-sized body, which is smaller than the dreadnought TAG3, and an excellent choice for those who play fingerstyle guitar for increased note definition and articulation as opposed to the bigger bass sounds of a dreadnought.

What's different between the first TransAcoustic generation and the new TAS3?
The TAS3 now features two actuators on the top and back of the body from the first generations single actuator: giving the effects of the guitar a deeper, more defined sound as it projects from the soundhole. The effects onboard are delay, reverb and chorus - all expandable with two modes each via the new TAS3 Remote app for your iPhone or Android phones. The guitar features an onboard rechargeable battery with an included magnetic charging cable that quickly powers the guitar to last for hours.
The real magic of the TAS3 is the new Looper function, where you can effortlessly record and play back your loops via the small touch capacitor area you see within the inlaid circle on the top near the soundhole. Simply tap in that area to start and stop recording/playback of your loops. The time and overdub space available is seemingly endless and up to your imagine to create your songs. It's incredibly helpful for a songwriting tool, and we can only imagine what it will be able to do live on stage!
