Taylor Guitars has just introduced a major upgrade to the 500 Series line: the Taylor 514ce and 512ce Urban Ironbark acoustic guitars! Formerly a mahogany line of instruments, the new 500 Series boasts an all-new tonewood unearthed from the Taylor urban wood initiative. Featuring Urban Ironbark as the back and sides, this dense tonewood features a bold sound with a sweet voice. It's suitable for players of all styles due to its smooth character, expansive volume, and piano like clarity. The guitars are paired with a torrefied spruce top which essentially ages and seasons the tone, while offering greater stability for humidity.

Expression System 2 Acoustic Pickup
Taylor's proprietary ES2 behind-the-saddle acoustic pickup translates the complex tones of the 500 Series into rich, organic live sound when playing through an amp or PA. This is also a usefull studio tool.
A Modern Take on Traditional Features
Standard 500 Series models feature the all-new Aerial inlay pattern in Italian acrylic and faux pearl, along with a single-ring abalone rosette. The body has a full-gloss finish with a subtle reddish stain over the Urban Ironbark back and sides.
Hardshell Case Included
All models in the 500 Series ship with a deluxe hardshell guitar case for protection during transport and storage.
