The Music Zoo is proud to be an authorized OX4 Pickups dealer! These magical pickups are hand-wound in the UK by Mark Stow, the brainchild of this operation. OX4 has developed an impressive artist roster - the pickups are used by Jason Isbell, Ryan Adams, Zac Brown Band, and many others!

OX4 pickups are all made to order, hand wound, and assembled using top shelf components and vintage correct materials, to capture the magic of those '50s and '60s era pickups that will cost you an arm and a leg (for a good reason!). The pickups are generally wound in the 7k to 9k range - the "sweet-spot".

Mark's P-90 is wound just like the pair in his original 1957 Les Paul Special. The Hot Duane is inspired by Duane Allman "Fillmore" tone - a bit hotter than a typical PAF style. The Rollin' Man is his nasally, out-of-phase Peter Green inspired set. Or, just custom-spec your own humbucker!
