Too Cool: New Gibson ES-335 Plain Gold
Posted on by jusatch
NAMM 2013 We’re not ashamed to say that we felt pretty weak in the knees when we saw this at the Gibson booth. A new ES-335 with a gold finish. Gold Les Pauls are some of our favorites with that gold/cream plastics combo, and you can’t beat that full, thick rhythm sound of a good 335, so this one just made us start drooling. Build features on this piece include a mahogany body, ’63 profile mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard, a tune-o-matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece, and two ’57 Classic humbuckers. This is one that we all wanted to take home, for sure.
