The Story

1957 Stratocaster Masterbuilt Austin MacNutt Music Zoo Hacksaw Relic

This is our latest and greatest Music Zoo Exclusive "Hacksaw Relic". A 1957 Stratocaster Masterbuilt by Austin MacNutt with a black over hot rod red finish.

What's a Hacksaw Relic? We've all seen those funky pawn shop finds. Vintage guitars that have been modded to hell and back, with different pickups, changed wiring, a new set of tuners. Every once in a while, there's a diamond in the rough that's a fantastic player. We wanted to see what would happen if we took that concept to the Fender Custom Shop, and they've knocked it out of the park.

The base model of the guitar is a '57 Strat and besides the color over color relic job, the guitar has a direct mount EVH Wolfgang humbucker in the bridge with a handwound El Diablo in the neck position. There's a Floyd Rose Original Bridge installed over the cavity where a synchronized tremolo would have been, and the controls are moved over to be a volume and tone knob where the middle and bridge tones of a standard Strat control layout are. Where else would you get a Strat as wild and fun as this one other than at The Music Zoo?

Includes: Hardshell Case, Certificate of Authenticity, Case Candy and Paperwork
