The guitar is built of a resonant nyatoh body with a through-construction one-piece maple neck, a fast 12-16" radius with 27 stainless steel frets and a unique 25.1" scale length as per Ellis' request. A push-pull volume control with series/parallel functionality switches the wiring of the bridge humbucker’s coils (Dyad) from series to parallel. The series option offers a traditional humbucker sound and the parallel option a brighter, slightly lower output sound while retaining the hum-cancelling feature. The top-mount Gotoh GE1996T double-locking tremolo system delivers superior tuning stability during aggressive tremolo use.
