Few guitar players cover as much ground as Stephen Carpenter, from atmospheric melodies to the heaviest of slamming 8-string riffs, and he does it all with his signature model. The LTD SC-608B is a very affordable model that is excellent for someone that wants to experiment with the extended range available on an eight string guitar. Features an alder body, maple neck with a rosewood fretboard, 27" baritone scale length, a thin U neck contour, and a recent update � a Fishman Fluence SRC Signature active pickup set. Each pickup has multiple voicings; use the push-pull control on the volume knob to select the one you want. On the middle alnico pickup, push down for �Modern Active� tone or pull up for �Modern Passive Attack�. On the bridge ceramic pickup, push down for �Modern Passive Attack� tone or pull up for �Modern Active� voicing. This model utilizes a standard 9V battery.
