This masterfully crafted bass is a MTD (Michael Tobias Design) 4-strin 434 model with a 24-fret neck. Built by the talented luthier in Kingston, NY the bass has a natural finish over a flamed English sycamore top, roasted ash for the body with a roasted birdseye maple fretboard, 34" scale length, and Bartolini pickups with some active electronics that really let you dial your preferred bass tone in. There is an active bass/mid/treble controls, and a 3-way toggle along with a pan pot for pickups. The three position switch selects the mid range cut and boost point. Down is lower mids (250); center is middle (500) and up is upper mids (1000). When the mid pot is at center click, the switch has minimal effect. This EQ system has 2 batteries and is a +/- 9 volt system. Be especially careful not to change the batteries when the bass is plugged in. There is a trim pot inside the control cavity to adjust the gain. The bass is in overall excellent condition and includes the original MTD hardshell case!
