Introducing The Music Zoo Exclusive Gretsch Custom Shop GT

As guitar players, we realize that not all of our preferences are the same, and some of us may just have a taste for something different. Well, we’ve applied this knowledge to Gretsch’s series of guitars, and as a result, we are bringing you the Custom Shop Gretsch GT!

What makes it a GT? The GT Jets and Penguins are built for the open road, designed to be a professional touring and recording workhorse with greater stability, easier intonation, sleek feel and wider tonal range. Fixed bridges are the first feature you’ll note, choosing from Tone Pros locking tune-o-matic style or a wraparound tailpiece with individual saddle adjustments. No more worrying about a wooden base with the potential to move, or an uncomfortable Melita bridge with intricate parts. Secondly, the guitars are fitted with optional full-size humbuckers allowing for any modern pickup to be swapped-in or custom ordered with the instrument. With a full humbucker footprint, you’ll retain that vintagey Gretsch sound acoustically, but have the option to push it in any electric direction you please. Alternatively, choose a slick set of Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates pickups wound in Filtertron covers to maintain that classic look. Finally, we’re upgrading to medium jumbo fretwire with other modern appointments available.
