Martin Delivers With This Modern Take on Pre-War Design
The Martin OMC-28E model boasts a new aging toner finish, open gear tuners, and forward shifted scalloped X bracing! This cutaway Orchestra body acoustic guitar is constructed with Sitka spruce and East Indian rosewood. The OMC-28E also features a modified low oval neck with high performance taper, simple dovetail neck joint, bone nut and tusq saddle, ebony bridge, and an ebony fingerboard inlaid with mother of pearl Style 28 inlays. Add in the cutting edge Finish Matrix VT Enhance electronics for a quality amplified sound, and the new OMC-28E is the full package.

OMC-28E Tone
Traditional Martin voice featuring rosewood back & sides with a spruce top. Scooped mids, clear and round bass response, and a bright sparkle to the top end. The cutaway does not dampen or affect tone negatively. The longer scale length and larger 000 body shape equal volume and sustain. The option of Fishman Aura VT Enhance or LR Baggs Anthem electronics make this a no-brainer for live or studio applications. Both deliver clarity of tone with on board controls to dial in your sound.
OMC-28E Feel
This model features the Modified Low Oval with High Performance Taper. This neck has a slinky and fast feel, perfect for chording up and down the neck, or taking a solo in a live application. A very well thought out design by Martin. The longer scale provides a bit more tension under the pick hand, great for harder strumming and projection.

For finger-style players or those with a light touch, you may consider a shorter 000 scale model. The OMC-28E is also a larger body instrument, so folks with smaller frames may search out a 00 size instrument or a comparable more-compact GPC-28E. If you crave warmer mid-range tone, the OMC-18E Mahogany guitar would give you the same playability with the optional wood set.
