New features on Taylor Next Generation guitars include V-Class Scalloped bracing, the Action Control neck joint and Taylor Claria electronics - now expanded to new models for 2026!

Huge news, Taylor has expanded the "Next Generation" of their Standard Collection of guitars which have three updates; Action Controls Necks, V-Class Scalloped bracing and Claria electronics. Our friend from Taylor, Mike Venezia stopped by to help us understand the how and why Taylor brought about these changes, and we're talking about it in an easy way: we're learning our Taylor ABCs.

First debuting on the Gold Label Collection in 2025, the Action Control neck is now available on Next Generation Standard Collection guitars such as these! The long-tenon neck joint improved the neck to body connection while also making adjusting your action easier than ever. With the use of a simple tool - you can adjust your action on the fly without the need to take off your strings. A quick adjustment on the fly can make a big difference during a performance or recording session.

The scalloped V-Class bracing unlocks a warmer low-end and a richer open-string resonance while preserving the balance and pitch-accuracy we know and love V-Class bracing for.

Taylor's new Claria active electronics system is powered by an under-saddle piezo pickup with a proprietary pre-amp which tames the sometimes harsh sounds of a piezo pickup. The controls are now mounted within the soundhole as opposed to the outside of the upper bout; Volume, Tone, and a Mid-Contour control allow you to really dial in your amplifier sound!
